Safety

Safe Spaces

The safety of your children is our top priority. We implement strict guidelines and safety protocols to ensure the safety of our programs for the children in our care and the volunteers that serve. These protocols include comprehensive volunteer training in “Plan to Protect” safety procedures, annual orientations, police background checks and a digital check in system.

  • Plan to Protect

Plan to Protect provides customized policies and procedures, risk assessment, strategic planning, community support, training to allow for abuse prevention and vulnerable sector protection.

  • Digital Check In

When you sign in your children at the Kidzone desk, you receive security tags. Children may only picked up by their parents/guardians using these security tags.

  • Criminal Record Checks

All Kidzone volunteers are required to provide a current criminal record check that is kept on file at Okotoks Alliance Church.

  • Comprehensive Training

Kidzone volunteers receive annual orientations to stay up to date on current program policies and safety procedures and to encourage knowledge retention.

Valued Volunteers
