Valerie came to faith as a young adult in BC. She and her husband Graham came to OAC in 2003 and she came on staff in 2006. They have two grown children who live in Calgary and Ontario, and 2 fabulous grandchildren. Valerie covers a range of admin related responsibilities: reception, bookkeeping, facilities management, etc. She’s often commended as the gracious voice that keeps things running well.

Originally from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Christopher joins the team as our Youth Ministries Director, bringing a rich background in pastoring and education. A teacher by trade and a 3rd-degree black belt, he also runs Nova Taekwon-Do right here in Okotoks. When he isn't serving students or on the mat, you'll often find him gaming or hanging out with his family. Christopher and his wife, Meg, are proud parents to three kids and love calling the Okotoks community home.

Colleen moved to Calgary in 2009 to marry Kevin, becoming stepmom to Stephanie, who recently made them grandparents! She holds two Master’s degrees (Regent College, Briercrest), has served cross-culturally in Taiwan, China, and Mexico, and now works from home as a book publisher. With a rich background in teaching and lifelong church involvement—from music to women’s and children’s ministries—Colleen loves serving families at OAC.

Nina steps into the role of Family Ministry Assistant having been part of the OAC community since she was a wee lass. Her big family has been a core fixture around OAC for as long as most can remember, making her roots in this church run deep. When she isn't serving in KidZone or greeting people on Sunday mornings, Nina loves spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
