Our Team

OAC has a history of Jesus-centered ministry in our community and beyond. Our passion is to experience and extend God’s grace and hope to our church, our community and to the world. Our team strives to model this love of God and help others to live this out in their day-to-day lives.

  • lead pastor - Everitt Born

Everitt came on staff as Lead Pastor in September of 2025. He and his wife, Stefanie, both grew up in Calgary (but they actually met while at Capernwray in New Zealand). They got married in June of 2023 and spent two years serving at Chilliwack Alliance Church in the Lower Mainland of BC. Everitt loves drinking coffee, reading good books, and fly fishing in the summer.

  • interim pastor - Ian Trigg

Ian is a born and raised Calgarian who has also spent 25 years in BC. Thirty-eight years of marriage to Joyce has resulted in much joy, great adventures, amazing memories, three kids, four grandchildren and now Murphy, the mini-golden doodle! Ian served as a Pastor at Vernon Alliance and Foothills Alliance in Calgary for 35 years and most recently for two years as a District Superintendent of over 60 churches in Ontario. The mountains are always calling, as does golf, hockey, baseball, etc.! The Triggs are very grateful to be a part of the Okotoks Alliance Church family during this season!

  • office administrator - Valerie Climie

Valerie came to faith as a young adult in BC. She and her husband Graham came to OAC in 2003 and she came on staff in 2006. Their grown children live in the Calgary area. Valerie covers a range of admin related responsibilities: reception, bookkeeping, facilities management, etc. She’s often commended as the gracious voice that keeps things running well.

  • children's director - Colleen McCubbin

Colleen moved to Calgary in 2009 to get to know Kevin. They married in 2010 and she became stepmom to Stephanie and in March, Stephanie made them grandparents! Colleen grew up on a family farm in Saskatchewan, attended Briercrest Bible College, worked with Asian immigrants in Greater Vancouver, and spent two years in Taiwan, with trips to China and Mexico. After obtaining a Masters degree from Regent College, Colleen spent several years in teaching and administration at Briercrest, where she earned a second Masters. She now works from home as a book publisher. Colleen has always been active in her local churches in music, women’s ministry, children’s ministry, and more, and is honoured to serve children and families at OAC.

  • worship & arts pastor - Tim Korthuis

Tim grew up in Okotoks and his family helped found Okotoks Alliance Church. He married his high school sweetheart, Tanya, and they went off to Rocky Mountain College. He was employed as worship pastor in Calgary and Ambrose chaplain for a season, before returning to Okotoks and coming on staff full-time in 2007. He’s worn lots of hats over these years, but the core of his role has always been worship. He’s an experienced piano-player-singer-guitar-strumming-worship guy. In 2014, he completed his Masters in Conducting at the University of Calgary, and has invested himself in community choirs, currently leading the Foothills Philharmonic Society (including several choirs and orchestra). He and Tanya have 4 kids spanning junior high through University.
