thinkChristian workshops

A key part of growing in our relationship with God is learning more about our faith. Think Christian is our church family’s way of helping people learn more about theology, the Bible, the history of Christianity, and the practice of our faith in the 21st century. We want to see Christians know more, think clearly, and live faithfully as a result of what they learn in these workshops.

Each workshop is approximately 5 hours long (9am - 3pm), and normally takes place on Saturday morning and afternoon. Workshops are open to anybody at all, and no prior learning or previous classes are required.

Feel free to come to every workshop, or just drop in on the ones that catch your interest. We have wonderful teachers from our own congregation, as well as expert guests who will facilitate each session.

Next Workshop:

Join Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo (author of the book "Age of Kings: Pursuing God's Heart in a Social Media World") as we explore the intersection of social media and faith.  With practical insights for teens through adults (including practical parenting tips), Bryce helps to critically understand our new social media world while simultaneously equipping us to use social media well.

Presenter Info:  Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo is the Lead Pastor of Westlife Church in Calgary, a seminar speaker, and sessional instructor at Ambrose University. Bryce writes and teaches regularly and internationally about the intersection of social media and faith with a wise and hopeful posture.

Upcoming Workshops:

  • February 1 - "Faith & Social Media" (Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo)
  • May 23 - "What was the Reformation?" (Dr. Kyle Jantzen)
